Spring Break in 30A

30A had been on my “dream trip” list for years before we finally decided to make it happen two weeks ago. I’d been to Destin, Florida many times but had never visited the little strip of beach just above it and we decided a road trip to the Sunshine State for our last family trip before the baby comes would be a Spring Break dream. Looking back on these photos even just one week later I realize how different everything is. In the midst of the global pandemic Covid-19 and under strict rules to stay home I’m just so grateful we had this sweet little trip to the beach. I’ll never forget it.

A Full Recap of Los Angeles with the Littles

I can’t wait to share more about why we were in L.A. in the coming months but it was such a treat to take the kids to L.A. twice in the past year (you can see our trip this past summer right here.) Stepping out of the airport to see that periwinkle blue sky and dry heat on your skin is pure gold. This was a bit of a work trip but we always manage to sneak in trips to our favorite spots.

Everything I’m Packing for my Surprise Vacation (Today!)

I turn 30 next week. In one way it feels a bit surreal and in other ways I feel like I’ve been 30 for years. To kick-off the occasion, O is sending me on a surprise vacation I had no idea about until a couple days ago. At the time I’m writing this I have no idea where I’m going but by the time you’re reading this i’ll be in the air and on my way! He gave me this as packing advice: pack for warm but not hot weather and pack for four days. That’s it! I’m a very strategic packer so this is almost painful for me but I’ve done my best and here is everything I’ve packed for this trip.

Our Entire L.A. Vacation with The Littles

We took quite an impromptu trip to Los Angeles mid July and it was everything our family needed and didn’t know it. We enjoyed a little bit of sun, a whole lot of sand, some time with friends who planted a church there and had the sweetest time as just us four. O and I had just been to L.A in May so we wanted to make this trip really centered around fun activities and exploring for the kids. Turns out, they love what we love. Who knew?

The July Recap (Welcome Back!)

Hi, friends! What a wonderful summer it’s been thus far! As much as I enjoyed every minute of the blog break, I must say it truly solidified just how much I enjoy creating content. Sharing through words, mood boards and photos is a passion gifted to me and I’m grateful for this community and the ability to do what I love. Hopefully you were able to keep up over on social media but if not, don’t worry. Grab whatever sounds most delicious right now (lemonade? iced coffee? a stack of pancakes?) and settle in for a nice long update on what I ate, wore, read, listened to and watched in July.
