A couple weeks ago, my sisters and I woke up to alarms we had set for 3am. We had slept over our sister’s house so we were tiptoeing around the kitchen and bathrooms in the middle-of-the-night haze to pop in contacts and pack up coolers. It was the morning of our 12 hour drive to 30A. When you add two pregnant sisters in their second trimester and due the very same day, two sisters with severe motion sickness, one sister who is leaving her baby for the first real stretch of time and one angel sister in law, you’re in for an epic ride.
After a nearly 40 hour round trip drive with my own babies to start January off and 24 hours of driving with six sisters just four days later–I’ve got some road-trip tips up my sleeves. I shared them here in my newsletter a couple weeks ago if you’re curious but for now I’ll just say, we survived (here’s the photo I texted O the second we parked the car as celebratory proof:)
I also just realized we’re sitting in age-order here since we made a swap 30 minutes out. Cute.
We stayed at Kate Marker house in Rosemary Beach, my absolute portion of 30A. I’ve written about it here if you’re curious about a trip to Rosemary Beach with kids. The house was, of course, absolutely stunning and no detail was left out.
We only had two full days before we made the drive home to our babies so we wanted to make them count. We started off both days at–of course–Raw & Juicy.
breakfast walk outfit: my hat. longsleeve top. leggings. trench. sneakers.
For the rest of the day, we walked as much as possible, stopped at the beach to dip our toes in the water, rested and grabbed Pizza by the Sea for a birthday bonfire on the beach at sunset. It was heavenly.
beach outfit: striped set. bag.
bonfire outfit: sweatshirt. sweatpants. chain necklace. longer necklace. ear cuff.
The last day was spent resting, spending hours in unexpected warmth and sun at the beach and having some much needed sister talks to end out the evening. This is the only photo I have:
last day outfit: h&m linen pajamas worn as a cover up. exact sunglasses.
