Hi, Friends! What a week!
We got back from Los Angeles on Monday and if anyone else has traveled away from their toddlers, you know what those first few days being back were like over here. The kids were definitely adjusting back to normalcy (a.k.a not letting me out of their sight) and back to good sleep habits and all those fun things. It’s been a long week but such a wonderful one.
After an entire month in Dallas, we head home next week making this our last weekend here for a long time. I can’t quite express that feeling between never wanting to leave the surrounding of family and desperately aching for the normalcy of home- but that’s where we are. Right smack dab in the middle of that feeling. I plan on soaking up all the family time, letting the kids run crazy with their aunties and uncles and tackling the mountain of laundry in the corner of our room so I can get a head start on the beast that is packing a months worth of stuff for four humans.
Here are some links and thoughts to send you into the weekend!
This episode of the Journeywomen Podcast was so inspiring to me this week as we came off a beautiful marriage-high weekend.
As someone who has always been extremely passionate about interior design, Studio Mcgee has been a long time favorite. While I’ve shared them before, I can’t not share them again because between the Instagram, Blog, Pinterest and YouTube Channel, the wealth of knowledge and inspiration is endless!
I’m currently not eating refined sugar (or honey or any sweetener at all) so sneaking in dates into my protein shakes every now and then have become a highlight in the day! Dates, vanilla protein powder, ripple milk or unsweetened vanilla almond milk, a banana and a teaspoon of peanut butter? You can’t go wrong. My own personal milkshake.
With the temperatures finally rising and the sun shining, Spring clothes have been making me so excited lately! I did a full roundup on my favorites earlier this week hereĀ and you cannot go wrong with this one.
Lastly, if I haven’t shared this yet, I’m ashamed. I’ve been watching the Great British Baking Show on Netflix for YEARS now and it never ceases to bring me joy. My whole family is now hooked so in this past month I’ve rewatched season after season and it is just the best feel-good decision you could make! Only one of my 6 siblings actually enjoys baking, so the fact that everyone is so involved in this baking tournament says something.
Have a fantastic weekend!
