If you gathered 100 women from all over the country and sat them down to ask each of them their favorite season to get dressed in, the answer would be a unanimous “Fall.” Sure it’s nice to wear sundresses for three months straight in summertime but there is nothing quite as comforting as getting to throw on an extra layer every day of Fall. We’ve made it to cozy season, my friends. Whether you’re looking to snuggle up at the football game in a pullover or head downtown in a full on sherpa coat, I’ve got you covered.

First things first-I was really hesitant about wearing this style of coat for a couple years. Maybe it’s because I’m a whisker shy of 6’0 tall and avoid the dramatic piece. Maybe it’s because I have the shoulders of a linebacker and was afraid of the added bulk. I’ve got to say-I’m hooked. It is so comfortable and I love it with a white long sleeve and denim moment, but this all black combo might just be my favorite. I wore this bodysuit all winter long making it a top cold-weather staple and I couldn’t be happier to be pulling it back out again.

sherpa style:
The thing about these bigger sherpa style coats is that you have to be conscious of shape. I keep the rest of the outfit slim and tighter fitting to avoid looking frumpy. The longer styles look fantastic with boots and sneakers alike (don’t even get me started on my Veja sneakers. They’ve replaced virtually every other shoe in my closet and I’m not mad about it one bit!)

ultra cozy pullovers:
Pullovers are no-brainers. Skinny jeans and wide leg pants are the best friend of the pullover, sure, but I highly recommend pairing them with a skirt like this or layered over a maxi dress if you’re not quite ready to call it quits on the ladylike effortlessness of summer.

ultra cozy cardigans:
Cardigans are my favorite way to transition into Fall because I essentially just wear a summer outfit and throw a cardigan on top. I especially love it with an all-white look like I shared here last week.
