Friday Feels- Cold Weather Essentials Sale Edition

K giving me her famous “look.”

Happy Friday! This week was a strange one in our house. We flew home from a month away in Dallas on Monday and it’s been a circus of laundry, unpacking, restocking all the necessities in the house and cleaning up toddler messes all week long. I’ve got to say, we’re looking forward to exhaling this weekend.

All I wanted while we were in Dallas was to feel that Virginia autumn air…and it’s here. I’ve felt it. And its only getting cooler next week! I had to pull out the slippers this week, i’m not sure I can properly express just how giddy that makes me. I’ve had these these for years and while I will say they certainly have seen better days in the smell department (it’s probably time for a new pair), they are still my favorite slippers of all time.

I just found out Bloomingdales is having a sale this weekend where you can get 20%-30% off your select items, which makes it a perfect time to stock up on some colder weather essentials that usually don’t budge in price. I’m talking Hunter or Burberry rainboots, over the knee boots, snow boots and Uggs. I’d put my Ugg slippers up against any slippers in the world and they’d win, no contest, every time. I’m linking my favorites right here (and stocking up for Christmas gifts!) While the kids shoes aren’t included in the sale, if you’re interested, these are the Ugg’s K wears as slippers and with pretty much every outfit since we’ve been back.

If you need me, I’ll be sipping tea and dousing my body in essential oils to keep this tickling throat from turning into anything more and getting our crew outside as much as possible. I’ll also be working on a monthly favorites post- I did a poll on Instastories and was shocked to see that YouTube just barely won out over a blog post. I’m a YouTube lover for sure and while I’m not incredible in front of the camera, I’ll be a woman of my word. Stay tuned for a monthly favorites round up at the end of the month!

What are your weekend plans? Are you digging into a new book? Trying out a new recipe? I’d love to hear what mid-october Saturdays and Sundays look like in your home.
