The Mother’s Day Gift Guide 2021

This Mother’s Day feels more important than others. I’m a celebratory person by nature but I can’t help but feel the weight of holidays this year. They all feel more important somehow. More necessary. My mother’s day gift guide is one of my favorite things to pull together every year and this one has something for absolutely everyone on your list (including yourself.)

Lets start with some random things that may not be all glitzy and glamorous but will win prize for best gift ever every single time:

These croissants are life changing. They come frozen and I used to keep them in the freezer at all times incase we had guests (a ham and cheese and a chocolate-of course.) I’ve given them as gifts so I absolutely recommend giving them, but I also recommend having them in the house to instruct your breakfast-in-bed crew to bake that Sunday morning. Be sure to let them rise overnight!

This neck massager might get a couple eyebrows but if all of the readers who have purchased this on my recommendation are any indication- it’s worth they eyebrow raise and then some. This thing has 41,000 5 star reviews and it. is. the. best. You can’t get a more impactful gift for less than $50…but I’d pair it with flowers because it’s not pretty, shiny or snuggly.

Speaking of snuggly, who would I be if I didn’t hype up my robe and blanket? May might seem like a strange time to gift a literal cloud but I wear mine in the Texas heat all summer long so take my word for it.

And there you have it, friends. Something for everyone indeed! Please never underestimate the power of a phone call, a hand written note, some Trader Joes flowers, an offer to watch someone’s babies. Grand gestures don’t win out over genuine care.
