Spring Updates in January

Happy Friday, Friends!

We arrived up north at our Lake house (which I mentioned in my travel favorites post, here) and the forecast went from frigid and unbearable to totally doable overnight which makes me SO happy. We always lay extremely low when we’re here and we always visit in January. Lots of downtime + cold weather + an open schedule thanks to grandparents= lots of Spring dreaming. 

Here are a few things on my radar lately:

The easiest way for me to transition into Spring a smidge early is with sweet lightweight tops. I start wearing them much earlier than I should and just refuse the weather to affect my outfit choice. Tell me i’m not alone? I plan on wearing these with the same two jeans I’ve worn all winter and begrudgingly wearing a jacket (and scarf) with them if need be. 

If you’re anything like me, you’ve already been bit by the Spring cleaning buzz. I wanted to skip post-Christmas tidying and jump right to the April overhaul. Once again…am I alone?

January is one of those months that can get gloomy pretty quickly. I find myself down in the dumps more often than I’d like to admit, so this verse has been reminding me of what my thoughts should look like instead,

“Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.” Philippians 4:8.
