There are 7 kids in my family, 5 girls and 2 boys. My siblings are my best friends on the planet and there is just nothing that compares to the gift of sisterhood. Most of our best friends just so happen to be only children or girls with only brothers that get sucked into our giant sisterhood. Whenever we’d be scrambling to get ready before a party or wedding or as we rifled through each other’s suitcases on trips we’d always say “what do people even do without sisters?!” I often get questions on what our dynamic is like, what it was like growing up with so many girls and about sisters in general so I’m answering your questions today. The questions were GREAT so get ready to read the word “sister” more than you ever have in your life.
I’m so excited to be launching a new series called ‘A Day in the Life’ today! I’ll interview women who work for themselves and share a peek into their daily routine. If there’s one thing I’ve learned in the past six months of blogging consistently 3x a week, it’s that time is more precious than ever and there are so many ways to accomplish the same thing. I hope you look forward to this monthly series as much as I do! I’m kicking it off with a super in-depth breakdown of my own schedule, photographed by the amazing Paula in those couple crazy hours before nap time (they were so confused by taking a bath before their nap!) While no two days look the exact same, we thrive off of routine and each day certainly has a flow to it.
Today is the day we leave our month-long stay in Dallas and head back to real life at home in Virginia. As you read this, I’m either slicing apples and packing almond butter sandwiches, or maybe I’m 30,000 feet in the air with a baby squirming in my lap, but know this: my heart is heavy.
